Perspective on Coaching in a New World
"Coaching was quickly gaining momentum anyway, but I think we will see coaching become
substantially more relevant now. When we have been shocked, devastated, or brought to our knees,
we are unwittingly more able to see and try things a new way. People will have more questions
about what will make their life meaningful and what will make them happy than they had been
before. When they are ready to reclaim their lives, they will look for a new kind of guidance.
The only constant in this 'new world' is you. People need to listen to and rely on themselves
and their own wisdom more than ever. Many will be ready to bring back burner wishes and rumblings
forefront and they will need support! When people are ready to rebuild (and some will be ready
sooner than others) coaching is the right discipline."
